Not just a sport for the young! Pete Bailey, seen on the left after his GFT at St Nazaire airport, 10 miles distant from La Baule. At the time, Pete was nearly 70yrs old and started with Phil as a complete novice. After 2weeks, he had a week off to go and visit his daughter elswhere in France, and then came back for another week to go solo, and pass his GFT mid- October. Pete progressed as quickly as many of my students half his age!

At left, Ian Gilks from Thailand arrived in early November to convert his Thai flying training to comply with the UK syllabus. 5 days later all his requirements were finished including the qualifying cross-country required.

.

On the right meet Kevin MacCuish from Scotland, celebrating in town with Phil after having converted his training carried out in Thailand to a UK NPPL during a stay of 12 days, incuding having got all of his exams done...

On the left, a satisfied Humphrey Lynch from Eire after having completed both his qualifying cross-country flights on the same day. Humphrey completed all his training here with us, and on the right out on the town to celebrate a successful GFT !
Right, Barry Liffey from Eire, who is pictured after passing his GFT. To date, Barry is our quickest student ever, achieving a restricted licence from scratch in a period of 13 days in mid-summer.
Introducing Tim Stock from Kent who like so many others was unable to get finished in the UK due to weather constraints and instructor availability. During a relatively short stay, Tim was able to get all of his solo flying done, his outstanding exams, and a particularly well flown GST. We regularly get reports from Tim as to his voyages around the UK since getting his licence!
One of our most regular customers, Mal Devlin from Northern Ireland. Although getting his licence some time ago, Mal comes back two or three times a year to enjoy hiring our Blade as a qualified pilot. More and more of our ex-students are doing this, combining a holiday break with lots of flying.
