Vu a droite, le pendulaire P&M GT450 utilisé comme notre appareil principal - un modèle de haut gamme de la dernière génération.

Les gens âgés de 16ans à 70ans ont réalisés leurs rêves avec nous et sont maintenant détenteurs d'un brevet ULM. Assez nombreux  sont les pilotes d'avion qui ont fait une conversion afin de prendre les commandes d'un ULM pendulaire. Ces pilotes trouvent que le pilotage d'un ULM de ce type est beaucoup moins cher, et beaucoup plus agréable que le pilotage d'un avion. Souvent ils pensent qu'un ULM sera primitif en comparaison avec un avion, mais notre photo à droite montre que c'est pas le cas!!

Le P&M GT450 est un ULM biplace de série, construit dans une usine au nord-ouest d'Angleterre. Vous pouvez visiter leur site en utilisant le lien 'Gamme P&M Aviation' dans le menu ci-dessus à gauche. Cet appareil est doté avec un moteur 4-temps de 100cv, et peut voler à une altitude de plus de 6000m!! La gamme de vitesse en vol palier est de 60km/h à 160km/h. En piquer la vitesse autorisée et de 180km/h. Le taux de montée à plein charge est 400m/min, et vers 600m/min en solo.

Avec sa capacité de 65 litres de essence sans plomb 95, le P&M GT450 a une autonomie de 8 heures de vol à 100km/h, et 5 heures de vol à 140km/h.

Les frais d'opération de ce type de ULM sont comparable à une voiture familiale, c'est à dire environ €30/h, et non le €80 à €250/h pour un avion typique. Ce ULM peut être monté ou démonté en 45min de sa remorque, prêt pour la route. L'appareil peut être gardé dans un garage familial, sans besoin de payer pour l'abri dans un hangar sur un aérodrome. Le pilotage d'un ULM pendulaire est beaucoup plus euphorisant qu'un avion - voyez la photo en dessous de notre deuxième appareil, un P&M Aviation Blade 912, et vous pouvez bien imaginer cette vérité!!
