Anglais-Volant's Chief Flying Instructor Phil Lee, has been flying microlights since 1980, with over 8000hrs flying experience. Born in 1953, he has been an Instructor since 1990. Phil is a British Microlight Aircraft Association Inspector and Check Pilot. He is also a factory dealer Test Pilot for P&M Aviation, and is the P&M Aviation dealer for the Northwest of France. He can invigilate the exams required for the Microlight NPPL. He can supervise the solo flights of students under training and can carry out General Skill Tests (previously known as the GFT) for the issue of a Microlight NPPL. He can also revalidate expired licences and runs conversion courses for 3-axis microlight pilots and light aircraft pilots wishing to convert onto flexwings.


Phil has flown to France 34 times in flexwing microlights between 1989 and 2000, and is permanently based at La Baule, where all the above services are now offered!! He has also flown microlights in Sweden and Cyprus. Phil entered the Round-Britain Microlight Rally in 1990, 1991 and 1992, in 1990 coming 6th, and in 1991 coming 10th, both times out of 65 aircraft.
